The flora of La Gomera reflects altitude, exposure, humidity and long adaptation to volcanic soils and island isolation.
Humid forests, deep slopes and a whistled language travelling from ravine to ravine. Vegetation makes humidity, wind, salinity, altitude and volcanic soils legible.
Among its main reference points are Silbo Gomero, Garajonay, Atlantic stopover, which connect landscape, memory and everyday life. Flora also preserves traces of traditional uses, cultivation and environmental change.

La palma canaria ocupa los fondos de barrancos gomeros desde el litoral hasta medianias; su presencia es especialmente vistosa en el barranco de Hermigua.
Vegetacion xerofila costera
Las laderas bajas y costas albergan tabaibales, cardones y matorrales adaptados al viento y a la salinidad; la flora costiera gomera incluye endemismos rupicolas de interes.
