Cruz Cafuné is a Tenerife singer and rapper born in San Cristóbal de La Laguna, known for turning the Canarian urban scene into a national reference through BNMP and his solo career.

Early life

Carlos Bruña Zamorín, known artistically as Cruz Cafuné, was born in 1993 in San Cristóbal de La Laguna, Tenerife. Enciclopedia Guanche and RTVE place him as a key figure in the Canarian urban scene, with a passage through Toska Runners and BNMP before consolidating a solo career. His debut album, Maracucho Bueno Muere Chiquito, appeared in 2018 and marked an early synthesis of 2000s rap, narrative and humour.

Historical role

RTVE and Apple Music later document Moonlight922, Visión Túnel and Me Muevo Con Dios as successive phases of a steadily expanding discography, with references to Tenerife, the 922 prefix and production that dialogues with classic hip-hop, Jersey club and other urban languages.
