Aunque muy reducido por la presion agricola historica, el norte conserva fragmentos de monteverde en las laderas mas humedas, con til, laurel y otros elementos relictos.

La cumbre alberga endemismos exclusivos como el rosal de guia, la perpetua de risco y otras plantas adaptadas a condiciones de alta altitud y nubosidad.
