Pedro Guerra

Pedro Manuel Guerra Mansito was born in Güímar, Tenerife, on 2 June 1966. A singer, guitarist and composer, he trained at the conservatoire and gave his early performances in the Canary Islands.

His cultural biography is tied to Taller Canario de Canción, a project through which he took part in the renewal of Canarian song in the 1980s before moving to Madrid in 1993. From there he developed a singer-songwriter career with albums, film music, collaborations and repertories connecting canción de autor, social memory and Canarian materials. He has hosted an audiovisual journey through music scenes on the islands, and in 2024 took part as performer and composer in Identitaria Canarias, an initiative of the Canary Islands Government.
