The seat of the Diocese of the Canary Islands is transferred from Rubicón to Gran Canaria.

The bull issued by Eugene IV ordering the transfer of the seat from Rubicón took effect in November 1483, when Bishop Juan de Frías established the diocesan seat on Gran Canaria. The diocese was not created in 1503: it already existed with its seat at Rubicón.
