Historical Figures

After the Castilian defeat at Acentejo in 1494, Alonso Fernández de Lugo returned with a new army. The victories at Aguere and the second engagement at Acentejo broke the resistance of the northern menceyatos, and the conquest of Tenerife ended in 1496. La Palma had already been conquered in 1493 and is not part of this milestone.
