Music career
Rosana’s official biography places her early learning in Lanzarote, with a first guitar at the age of five and songs of her own from childhood. At twenty she moved to Madrid to study solfège and guitar. Before publishing as a performer, El País documents that Fuego y miel, composed by Rosana and performed by Esmeralda Grao, won the Benidorm Festival in 1994. In 1996 she recorded Lunas rotas after sending a demo to MCA Records; CanariWiki and the Canary Islands Government’s educational media area present it as the album that projected her internationally, with songs such as El talismán, A fuego lento and Si tú no estás.
