Key milestones

1. 1998

   Asociación Cultural Harán is registered

   The Asociación Cultural Harán, of which Tendal would become part, is entered on 13 August 1998 in the Provincial Association Registry under number 4171.

2. 1999

   Founding and first performance

   Agrupación Tendal officially debuts on 15 July 1999 in the Plaza de San Andrés, San Andrés y Sauces, having emerged from a group of friends in the municipality’s Rondalla Lo Divino.

3. 2014

   15th anniversary monographic festival

   To mark its 15th anniversary, the ensemble holds a free monographic festival on 31 August 2014 in the Plaza de Nuestra Señora de Montserrat, San Andrés y Sauces, as part of the local patron saint festivities.

4. 2017

   Participation in the Aires de Mar cycle

   On 11 August 2017 Tendal performs alongside Parranda La Era in Puntalarga, Fuencaliente, as part of the Aires de Mar cycle organised by the Cabildo de La Palma and the Fundación CajaCanarias.

5. 2019

   20th anniversary

   The ensemble celebrates its 20th anniversary throughout summer 2019, with commemorative performances at various venues and a notable recital during the September patron saint festivities in San Andrés y Sauces.

6. 2020

   Concert organised by the Cabildo de La Palma

   The Cabildo de La Palma, through its Culture department, organises a concert by Agrupación Tendal at the Museo Insular on 26 September 2020, confirming the group’s institutional relationship with the Cabildo in promoting traditional La Palma music.

7. 2026

   Concert at the Barlovento patron saint festivities

   Tendal performs alongside the group Calicanto (Lanzarote) at the Barlovento patron saint festivities, confirming its continued activity nearly thirty years after its founding.
