Esclavitud is a La Laguna heavy-metal band formed in 1996, one of the longest-running careers in the Canarian underground scene.
Metal Hammer España places Esclavitud in San Cristóbal de La Laguna and documents its activity from the mid-1990s. FanMusicFest specifies its creation in early 1996 with musicians from several Tenerife bands. After an initial stage as Slavery, the band adopted the name Esclavitud and released a discography including Involución, Condenados al Paraíso, Return to Eden and Stronger than a God.
Its importance lies in sustaining a classic and progressive heavy-metal line from Tenerife for decades, with presence at Canarian and mainland festivals such as Leyendas del Rock.
